It figures that only a conservative government would come up with the idea of selling off publicly owned water infrastructure to private (buddy) corporations! All the work done and paid for by taxes is sold off so shareholders can profit from it and tax payers left paying the bills! Read more

I find this proposal disturbing, to say the least. This is a clear power grab by the province to manage land resources as they see fit, and scrapping regulations to kow-tow to corporate donors and lobbyists. Absolutely shameful. Do not pass this proposal for the health and safety of all Ontarians.

This incredibly short-sighted piece of legislation should be cancelled and redrafted without the provision of allowing water to become commercialized. Keep water public. Who is going to want to live in a municipality that allows their water to be managed by a for profit entity. Read more

It is important that the government encourage energy saving initiatives in the building of new homes and other infrastructure. Not being proactive will result in more costs for homeowners in the future for retrofits. This is a waste of time, energy, and resources. Read more

Water is crucial to life. Water should NOT be used to create profit. Water should be directly under the control of the people who use and rely on it.
