Do not go through with this legislation which will financialize our public waters. I am horrified that the government would consider such a short term benefit with devastating long term consequences. If passed I will never vote conservative again.

I don't support removing municipal control, especially over things like water treatment. I like having a local, regional municipal government to govern our local infrastructure as the local people in our municipal government understand our needs and circumstances.

No privatization or commercialization of water. This reduces/removes accountability to the served populace.

I absolutely disagree with these proposed amendments. The Provincial government is becoming tyrannical in its approach to municipalities. Read more

Absolutely do not go ahead with this. We have seen the negative effects around the world. Leave the municipalities in charge of water, and keep it as a public good. As a young swing voter you are doing serious damage to your brand and popularity as a government recently. Read more

I find this bill incedibly outrageous after reading through it. This government, which is clearly owned by corporate interests, is not working for the people of Ontario. Water and sewage has no place in private hands. Read more

We decide who controls our water, not people that it doesn’t affect personally. Leave well enough alone

We shouldn't have the management of our drinking water appointed, and we do not need private corporations mandated to distribute our water!

The Province is making a mistake with the passing of Bill 98. Bill 98 will destroy industry and hurt Ontario's economy at a time when we should be developing local industries and reducing our reliance on the United States. Read more

Water &. Sewage privatisation is a crime against common man. We already pay such high bills and this Govt. wants to further increase it (eventually) thru privatisation. Can you name one country where privatisation of water services has benefited common man? Read more

Privatization of water and waste water is a extremely bad idea. Water and waste water service needs to be affordable and not for profit. Public funds built the infrastructure and we should be able to oppose this and stop it before it becomes private for profit.

Please do not privatize our water, as an accountant for the city of mississauga (lower tier peel region) the notion of moving water supply to a partnership where profit is priortized is proven to be a very risky, dangerous, inequitable manner of providing public service. Read more
