We have made a new regulation, Ontario Regulation 208/19 (Environmental Compliance Regulation in Respect of Sewage Works), to streamline approval requirements for constructing sewage works that the municipality will eventually own.
The ministry has accepted the risk assessment prepared for the owner (Hamilton 188 GP Inc. and Hamilton 188 LP), for the property located at 188 Cannon Street East, Hamilton Ontario, L8L 2A8 and 134 Ferguson Avenue North, Hamilton, Ontario, L8R 1L7.

The purpose of the proposed plan is to achieve consistency and conformity with provincial policies and plans, and to establish goals, objectives, and direction guiding growth and development to the 2051 planning horizon.
We are delivering on our Made-in-Ontario Environment Plan commitment to hold polluters accountable by expanding the use of administrative monetary penalties and modernizing the process to seize vehicle permits and plates. Once implemented, these changes will strengthen our enforcement tools to ensure compliance with environmental laws.
