Land use planning is a process that determines the most appropriate use of land and water. We are working with McDowell Lake First Nation to develop a community based land use plan for an area in the Far North. The plan will identify which lands will be dedicated to protection and which will be open for potential economic development.
The ministry is moving forward in implementing the Consolidated Linear Infrastructure Permissions Approach to update the current sewage approvals framework, following consultation in summer 2020.
