The Environmental Compliance Approval (Waste Disposal Site - transfer/processing site) No. A121029 issued to Future Waste Recycling Facilities Inc has been amended

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent to create one new lot for resource-based recreational use was granted on May 09, 2024, subject to conditions. 

The forest management plan for the Gordon Cosens Forest is complete. We are closing this notice as an administrative action.

The plan will ensure the sustainability of the forest resource, encourage continued biodiversity, and provide social and economic opportunities of the Crown forest.

Water will be taken from two ponds located in the Township of Springwater, County of Simcoe, Ontario.

We have issued a benefit permit to Hert Inc. with respect to Butternut and Little Brown Myotis for the purpose of a subdivision development. The permit includes actions to benefit the species, minimize adverse effects, and outlines monitoring and reporting requirements.

We have issued a benefit permit to 2382215 Ontario Inc. to develop a subdivision which will impact two Category 3 Butternut trees. The permit includes actions to benefit the species, minimize adverse effects, and outlines monitoring and reporting requirements.

The Ministry did not adopt the Canadian Water Quality Guideline for Mercury or the Interim Canadian Water Quality Guideline for Methylmercury as Provincial Water Quality Objectives.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval for Stella-Jones Inc. has been issued for the approval of a stormwater management facility to address water quality and quantity runoff from 309 Main Street West in the Town of Shelburne, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on December 10, 2025 in respect of Application 60-C-252687 for a lot addition in the unincorporated community of Minaki, District of Kenora. The last day this decision can be appealed is December 30, 2025.

A new PTTW no. 3457-CEDNMY has been issued to the Gananoque Golf and Country Club, Limited on May 26, 2022 for servicing the Gananoque Golf and Country Club, Limited located in Gananoque, Ontario.  The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of May 14, 2032.

The ministry has issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) to Hydro One Networks Inc. for stormwater management and spill control works to serve Lake Transmission Station (lake TS) located at 2549 Barton Street East, in Hamilton, Ontario.

This decision is to amend Permit to Take Water No. 1446-BH8L5B for the purpose of mine dewatering by Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. located in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario.

The amendment is to remove the seasonal water taking restriction and increase the number of days of taking from 215 days to 365 days in a year.

The variance is approved.
