We have created Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park through an amendment to O. Reg. 316/07 under the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006. This will strengthen the long-term protection of biodiversity and important habitats within the park while providing opportunities for visitors to enjoy the area’s natural beauty.

On July 30, 2021 the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation 537/21 to permit manufacturing/industrial uses in the Township of McNab/Braeside.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval has been granted (industrial sewage) for 2656405 Ontario Inc. to establish a stormwater management (SWM) facility on-site to provide stormwater quantity and quality control for the proposed development area (0.51ha) located at the south end of the site.

We have removed small areas of land from French River and Grundy Lake provincial parks to support the Ministry of Transportation’s expansion of Highway 69.
We amended Renewable Energy Approval No. 5515-8WDH5G for the Kingston Gardiner Hwy 2 South Solar Energy Project, located at Lot 40, Concession 3 in Loyalist Township, to move to an annual effluent monitoring schedule for the transformer substation spill containment facility.
Amendments have been made to regulations under the Invasive Species Act, 2015, to prevent the introduction and spread of 13 invasive species and through the overland movement of watercraft.
