A new Environmental Compliance Approval has been issued for the establishment of a subsurface sewage disposal works to service Bancroft Campground, located at 98 Bird Lake Road in the Town of Bancroft, Ontario.
Changes have been made to the Planning Act related to control of the division of land (subdivision control, plans of subdivision, consents and validations), as well as other housekeeping and consequential changes to the Act.
This approval is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) to be issued to 2311215 Ontario Limited and 2311217 Ontario Limited, for the establishment of sewage works, in support of a proposed expansion of the existing multi-unit storage facility; for collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of stormwater run-off from the site.
We amended Renewable Energy Approval No. 0602-8RFLKT for the Brockville Solar Project, located at Lot 19, Concession 2 in the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley, to construct a tractor storage building and associated double-walled fuel storage tank, and an 11 m by 90 m stormwater management pond.
The Ministry received an application from The Corporation of the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc for Mount Brydges Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) major improvements to the existing process to address compliance and operation & maintenance issues.
The Mount Brydges WWTF is located at 22416 Mill Road, Township of Strathroy-Caradoc.
We have expanded the boundaries of 23 protected areas (17 provincial parks and 6 conservation reserves) and corrected the name of Chapleau Nemegosenda River Provincial Park. These changes contribute to the long-term sustainability of Ontario’s natural heritage and provide increased opportunities for recreational activities.
This proposal notice invited stakeholders of northern Ontario, Indigenous communities, organizations and people, and interested members of the public to review and provide comments on the Phase 1 Report – The Northern Ontario Context: Implications and Considerations for Strategy Development.
We amended the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998, to provide government with authority to make regulations, and decided to implement those regulations, to streamline and modernize leave-to-construct approvals for certain pipeline relocation or reconstruction projects to facilitate key government commitments to build transit and housing faster.
