We are proposing to remove the need for certain types of dams to obtain a permit to take water. The construction and alteration of dams will continue to be regulated under existing provincial regulatory requirements and approval processes so that we can continue to protect lakes, rivers and waterways in Ontario.
The province is proposing government response statements that outline actions the government is taking and supports to protect and recover nine species at risk in Ontario: Blanding’s Turtle, Eastern Whip-poor-will, Little Brown Myotis, Northern Bobwhite, Northern Myotis, Spiny Softshell, Spotted Turtle, Tri-colored Bat and White Wood Aster.
The ministry intends to issue a Director's Order for the use of funds collected as a condition of an Environment Compliance Approval to Ontario Graphite, LTD., in Kearney, Ontario. The order will allow the ministry to make the funds available to the Crown to pay for the compliance with and performance of any action specified in the issued approval.
This proposal is to amend Permit to Take Water No. 6551-8U3H95 for mining purposes. Water will be taken from nine (9) lakes and nine (9) wells, located in the Township of Dubreuilville, District of Algoma, Ontario. This amendment is for the modification of water taking sources.
This proposal for a new Permit to Take Water for industrial purposes for TC Energy Corporation. Water will be taken from the Gananoque River located in Marble Rock, in the Separated Town of Gananoque, United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, Ontario.

We have classified the following commercial end use product: HopGuard II (Reg. No. 33571), containing the active ingredient hop beta acids (present as potassium salts), as Class 4 pesticides.
The Ministry has accepted the risk assessment prepared for the owner, UCANCO General Partners Inc., as part of the development plans for the property located at 609 West Street South in Orillia, Ontario. The Director is considering issuing a Certificate of Property Use ("CPU") in relation to the property.
This proposal is for a new Permit to Take Water for Empire Communities (2183 Lakeshore Blvd.) Ltd. Water will be taken from sump pits for the purpose of long term drainage in the City of Toronto, Ontario.

We have issued a benefit permit to the Regional Municipality of York for construction activities that will impact Redside Dace. The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects and benefit the species, as well as monitoring and reporting requirements.
The proposed guidance documents were posted under a previous version of the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe which no longer exists. As such, we have identified this as a posting that is no longer pertinent or active. This decision notice has been posted to advise the public that the government is no longer considering this proposal.

We have established the Species Conservation Action Agency to invest in strategic, large-scale, and coordinated actions that will support more positive outcomes for select species at risk. We also created regulations to enable use of the Species at Risk Conservation Fund and expand conditional exemptions for activities with standard approaches.
On December 22, 2022, the Minister of Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 592/22 to accelerate a mixed-use, transit-oriented development to permit a range of residential, commercial, and institutional uses.
On March 4, 2022, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed an Amendment to O. Reg. 771/21, made pursuant to clause 47(8) of the Planning Act with the Registrar of Regulations as O. Reg. 163/22 to add 65.5 hectares of land to the Zoning Order. The City of Kawartha Lakes requested that the Minister consider amending the Zoning Order.
On April 29, 2022, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed an amendment to the Zoning Order, O. Reg. 173/20, made pursuant to clause 47(8) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as O. Reg. 456/22.
On September 9, 2022, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as O. Reg. 483/22 to permit the development of an industrial park.
On February 14, 2020, Ontario Regulation 15/20 revoked Ontario Regulation 834/81 (Sudbury District Zoning Order). Revocation of the MZO will reduce regulatory burden imposed by the province and will lead to a more consistent approach of development control across northern Ontario for unincorporated areas that are not part of a planning board.
On October 17, 2019, Ontario Regulation 471/73 was revoked by Ontario Regulation 340/19. The lands subject to Ontario Regulation 340/19 are located at 1300, 1316, 1326 and 1342 Bronte Road in the Town of Oakville.
A decision was made to approve a site-specific amendment to remove certain lands in the Town of Oakville from the Parkway Belt West Plan (PBWP) and the associated Minister's Zoning Order (MZO), filed as Ontario Regulation 481/73.
The PBWP amendment is approved as Amendment No. 234 and the MZO amendment is filed as Ontario Regulation 457/24.
