A new Enviornmental Compliance Approval (Air & Noise) has been issued to J. & P. Leveque Bros. Haulage Limited for the operation of a mobile drum type hot-mix asphalt plant.

We are extending the current moratorium on new permits and permits that authorize increases to take groundwater to produce bottled water for nine months, ending October 1, 2020.

We will not be proceeding with the proposal to offer existing cottagers in Rondeau Provincial Park a one-time opportunity to extend their term of occupation to 2038. We are revoking Ontario Regulation 323/94 (Dry Cleaners) which required dry cleaning establishments to employ a person trained in the environmental management of contaminants and waste in connection with the operation of dry cleaning equipment. An amended Environmental Compliance Approval has been issued to Pets Above Ltd. for their facility located at 7076 Wellington Road 124 in the Township of Guelph/Eramosa, Ontario.

An Environmental Compliance Approval has been issued to First Mining Gold Corporation for their facility Goldlund Project (GP) located at Lot 7-8, Concession 1 in the Unorganized Township of Echo.

Permit PR-19-000230 was withdrawn on December 19, 2019 at the applicant’s request.

The Exploration Permit was issued and is valid for a period of 3 years.

Permit PR-19-000280 Issued. The exploration permit is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

Section 172 of the Environmental Protection Act, which grants powers to investigate and establish a Board of Negotiation to consider complaints of economic damage caused by contamination to livestock, crops, trees or other vegetation, has been repealed to address overlap with existing investigative powers and other dispute resolution mechanisms.
