The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-20-000284 to 7247915 Canada Inc.for early exploration activities approximately 22 kilometres south west of Cochrane, Ontario, in Duff and Mann townships, District of Cochrane, North East Region.
On September 20, 2024, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Minister's Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 366/24 in the Town of Ajax. The Town of Ajax requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.
To support the implementation of the Provincial Planning Statement, 2024, the Ministry is seeking feedback on a further revised draft Projection Methodology Guideline to assist planning authorities with identifying population and employment forecasts and assessing land needs. This is the second consultation on this matter. See ERO #025-0844.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on August 11, 2020 in respect of Application 57-C-204363 to sever 0.22 hectares of land from PIN 31386-0096 to be added as a lot addition to PIN 31386-0129, in Aberdeen unincorporated township, District of Algoma. The last day this decision can be appealed is Sept. 1, 2020.
We want to insure that the Revised Lake Trout Rehabilitation Plan for the Ontario Waters of Lake Huron adequately addresses the factors that are limiting the successful re-establishment of naturally reproducing populations of Lake Trout throughout suitable locations in Lake Huron.

The ministry has issued direction that would allow for the disposal of contaminated groundwater in the New Liskeard Lagoons sewage treatment system. The contaminated groundwater was encountered during the excavation of soil for the replacement of a culvert located at Calamity Creek on Highway 11.
On July 10, 2020, we issued Certificate of Property Use No. 8452-BHMMZD ("CPU") to 1150735 Ontario Ltd. in regards to the proposed development at 108 –112 James Street North and 115 Hughson Street North in Hamilton, Ontario.
To address the need for better affordable housing choices, the Promoting Affordable Housing Act, 2016 proposed amendments to the Planning Act that would enable municipalities to use inclusionary zoning through the land-use planning system. Based on input received on this proposal, matters were considered for regulatory proposals.
We issued an Environmental Compliance Approval to Terra-Green Recycling & Transfer Inc. for their 86 Shorncliffe Road location for an increase in daily tonnage from 650 to 990 tonnes per day and an increase in storage from 2,715 to 4,000 tonnes at any one time.

The Ministry received feedback on proposed updates to the Projection Methodology Guideline (PMG) to support implementation of the Provincial Planning Statement (PPS), 2024 policies related to growth forecasts and land needs. We are proposing an amendment to the Ontario Fishery Regulations that would allow the use of multiple lines when fishing for Common Carp and clarify existing provisions as they relate to baiting an area to be fished (known as ‘chumming’).
On April 1, 2022, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed an Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(b) of the Planning Act. The purpose of the Order was to designate parts of a registered plan of subdivision in the Town of Georgina to be deemed not registered.
