Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow 2227948 Ontario Ltd. to revise their rehabilitation plan in the County of Norfolk.

Approval to amend the current licence #3553 was granted on June 10, 2017

We have made a minor amendment to the Environmental Assessment Act to make it clearer that the authority to amend a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) and a Class EA approval, includes changing the types (or classes) of projects that can follow a Class EA.

The licensee has received consent for a site plan amendment to allow for roadside setbacks along County Road 31 and Road 5 East to be reduced to 15 metres, from the existing 30 metres, and to backfill the former setback area (between 15 metres to 30 metres) to original grade.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Hustonville Sand & Gravel Limited to change their final rehabilitation slopes in the Township of Centre Wellington.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow OCL Trucking & Excavating Ltd. to increase the number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed annually and amend several operational details on the site plan for Licence No. 625326, operating in the City of Greater Sudbury

Approval was granted for Licence No. 625855 to allow Lafarge Canada Inc. to add a third phasing to the operation and change the final end use to a meadow by filling the pond. Approval was also granted for site plan amendment No. 2079 to change the final rehabilitation plan to allow the creation of a silt berm and remain post surrender.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow James Brian Ross to restore the site to grade and to allow for future agricultural uses, for a pit located in County of Simcoe.

The application by St. Mary’s Cement Inc. (Canada) to authorize an increase in the annual number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed from a pit operating in the Township of Zorra has been approved.

Concurrent with the decision to amalgamate licences No. 2129, No. 2130 and No. 2136, approval was granted to amend the consolidated site plan to create a more cohesive operational and rehabilitation plan for amalgamated licence No. 2129.
