The Minister has issued a permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 (ESA) to the North Pickering Community Management Inc. for road construction activities that may adversely impact Redside Dace. The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects, actions to benefit the species, and monitoring and reporting requirements.
On January 26, 2022, we amended the Species at Risk in Ontario List to reflect new species at risk classifications set out in the 2019-2020 Annual Report of the Committee on the Status of Species at Risk in Ontario. This is required by the Endangered Species Act, 2007.
An amended Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) was issued to West Windsor Power for their natural gas powerplant on Sandwich Street in Windsor, Ontario. Amendments included the removal of some equipment, addition of some exhaust fans, and re-calculated emission limits.
