I am frankly appalled at this proposed legislation. We have environmental protection legislation and regulations to ensure that the inhabitants of this province will have an environment that is healthy and safe.

I understand that this legislation proposes to give the government of the day the right to ignore or undermine our environmental safeguards at will.

I am completely opposed to this legislation.
