As a born and raised Ontarian, I am deeply disturbed by this provincial government’s inability to think outside themselves. READ THIS SLOWLY: WHAT HAPPENS TO THE PLANET HAPPENS TO US! Our health is directly tied to the ecosystems we exist in. The scientific evidence is overwhelming, and you have access to it - at this point it is intentional ignorance and apathy. We need stronger environmental protection, not bills that destroy it. Furthermore, democracy cannot exist if we give the government carte blanche to override processes that exist to protect citizens and the planet. Get the EAs done and done well for existing and future projects. Put the environment and your constituents ahead of your own self interest and developer friends for once. STOP BILL 5!!!
