I strongly oppose the proposed exemption from Part II of the Environmental Bill of Rights for the Ontario Place Redevelopment Project. Economic growth can go hand in hand with environmental protection — we do not need to sacrifice one for the other. Exempting this project from environmental oversight and public consultation undermines transparency and sets a harmful precedent. Ontario Place is a public space that deserves a redevelopment plan rooted in sustainability, accountability, and community input.
