We represent the Toronto East End Climate Collective (TEECC), a non-partisan group of individuals working to understand the causes of the climate crisis and who advocate for constructive responses. We respectfully submit that Ontario Place should not be exempted from Environmental Bill of Rights scrutiny. The Bill of Rights was put there for the purpose of protecting our environment. We are concerned that the proposed construction at Ontario Place will have significant negative impacts on the environment and wildlife. Without an Environmental Review, these negative impacts cannot be detected and avoided.
