To whom it may concern,

I would like to express my support for the continued inclusion of rock climbing as an activity within Devil’s Glen Provincial Park. Climbing has long been a respectful and sustainable way for visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the park while fostering a deep appreciation for Ontario’s unique geological and ecological features.

The climbing community has a strong history of stewardship, prioritizing Leave No Trace principles, maintaining trails, and minimizing environmental impact. Allowing climbing at Devil’s Glen not only provides opportunities for healthy, active recreation but also encourages ongoing partnerships between climbers, Ontario Parks, and conservation groups to protect and preserve the area for future generations.

Climbing access aligns with the park’s goals of connecting people with nature, supporting outdoor education, and promoting diverse recreational opportunities. By recognizing climbing as a legitimate and sustainable use of the park, the management plan can help ensure that Devil’s Glen remains a cherished destination for recreation, conservation, and community engagement.

Thank you for considering this perspective as you finalize the amendment.
