Ontario should be banning…

Ontario should be banning the use of bait and baitfish - period.

The environmental impacts due to the use of bait will cost us far more than the few dollars made by the bait industry. Many other provinces have taken proactive measure to curb or cease the use of bait, but for some reason it continues in Ontario at nearly full steam ahead - this just follows out new tag line for the province " Open for Exploitation".

There are extremely effective artificial baits and lures available on today's market that do not have the same extremely negative impacts on the environment that live bait does. The industry will just have to adapt to better rules to put the environment first, otherwise we wont have one.

Please make the better choice, and ban the use of all organic baits.
