Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the work of BluMetric, an independent third party review by the MECP "Updating Ontario's Water Quantity Management Framework". The Quinte area is one of the study areas that was deemed susceptible to water quantity stress and in particular, Tyendinaga Township was identifed. I live in this township and the fact that groundwater "may be unsustainable under future conditions" and in times of drought, I am worried. Low water conditions have been called in my area 5 in 5 years (2016 into 2017, 2018, 2019 and now again in 2020 we have a Low Water 2.) Given the concerns with water supply to Tyendinaga Township, I am hereby requesting a moratorium on ALL Permits to Take Water this township. .
