This proposed legislation is long overdue. We support it entirely. Banning floating cottages for commercial and non-commercial purposes is critical to the well being and management of our lakes and waterways. Limiting houseboats and camping to a max of 7 days allows more than enough time in one place and could even be less such as 3 days max. We have witnessed abuse with campers and houseboats staying for months and no enforcement from the MNRF.
