In B.C. Transport Canada has designated them as float homes thereby, allowing municipalities to utilize by-laws to regulate.
Transport Canada has developed standards for float homes in B.C.
The GPCA is recommending that MNRF advocate for Transport Canada to apply the same designation as B.C. that being float homes and that Transport Canada and MNRF apply the same Standards as B.C.
