I completely agree with the proposed restrictions on baitfish and actually think they should be a little more restrictive. Too many lakes are getting perch and bass that only had trout before. Once the harm is done it cannot be undone easily. Lire davantage

Fishing is suppose to be a relaxing pastime ,you are making it so complicated it will no longer be worth the effort. I cannot afford to purchase Bait so harvest my own,if this is no longer allowed I will quit fishing. [Original Comment ID: 209725]

It is okay to restrict bait movement to the fisheries management zone but this will cause problems for commercial bait harvesters and outfitters who use or reside near the boundaries and use more than one zone. It is important to allow anglers to harvest their own bait. Lire davantage

Species of bait fish have already been selected. Why care where they are used. VHS is a red herring for our area. What about blue baby death syndrome? Lire davantage

As an avid fisherman I am opposed to the implementation of the bait restrictions proposed by the MNRF. These restrictions would greatly affect not only recreational fisherman but also tourist outfitters and other businesses that rely on the sport fishing industry. Lire davantage
