Hi, my name is Brendan and I do no support the proposed bait management changes, put forward by the MNRF for many reasons. I live in Northwestern Ontario and I feel this proposal is far too strict for our area. Lire davantage

I wish to understand and some questions about this Bait management. Would you be able to send me more information on how it works. I fish in long lake summer and Winter. I spend a-lot of time and money around this community. So taking away live bait from this lake would be a step backwards. Lire davantage

Very disappointed to see such a broad regulation on using live bait for fishing in Northern Ontario. I organize a group of 8 to 15 fishermen (depending on the year) to fish on Long Lake. This lake is located just outside of Charlton Ontario. We organize numerous trips throughout the year. Lire davantage

If the regulations need to be this restrictive in order to protect the resource, then my preference would be a total ban on using minnows. There are many specific problems that these regulations will cause, not the least of which is giving an advantage to people based on where they live. Lire davantage

I have review the proposed baitfish policy and wondered how you determined where the boundary lines should be for each zone. I don't mind having to produce a receipt for the baitfish I purchased, however my receipt Lire davantage

I don't understand why live bait of all types would be banned in provincial parks. Even though frogs, leaches, worms are common throughout. I understand trying to control invasive minnows. But what is the difference outside of park boundaries that would make this allowable. Lire davantage

I am writing today in response to your Bait Management Plan. I understand that you are worried about bringing invasive species into the park but this will be devastating to our business along with the tourism industry and bait dealers. Lire davantage
