Please, reconsider this proposal. It is time for Ontario to make a stand in regards to the environment. This is not a liberal or conservative issue, it’s an opportunity for us to do what we can to ensure our children have a future. Please, we have limited time to attempt to turn things around.

Although I don't believe your government will actually take any of the public opinion seriously in your decisions, I will say that repealing the Cap and Trade agreement will be looked upon in history as the greatest failure of this government.

Our planet is reaching a tipping point, and if we dont change our actions it will be too late. Climate change is happeneing and our actions are primarily to blame. Why on earth would we cancel something that is supposed to help solve the issue not make it worse.

Keep the cap and trade! Act responsibly and do your part to address climate change. Invest for the economic well-being of youth and future generations, rather than doubling down on idiotic populism.
Particularly in light of the IPCC report, this bill should not pass. For the case of all Canadians, especially the disadvantaged Canadians that will most acutely feel the negative impact of climate change, this bill should not pass.

As a lifelong citizen of the Province of Ontario and as a professional engineer, it is of my opinion that the repeal of the Climate Change Mitigation and Low Carbon Economy Act, 2016 is a misguided action by the current sitting government.

As an Ontario resident I urge the government to reconsider its plans to repeal its cap and trade system. Climate change poses a real threat to prosperity of future generations. It's also a collective action problem that requires all jurisdictions to do their part in reducing carbon emissions.

I object to Bill 4, Cap and Trade Cancellation Act, 2018. It cancels a system that was effective in reducing Green House Gas emissions, and it is very vague about measures that might be implemented in the future to fulfill the same purpose.

I find it terrifying that it’s 2018 and we are considering removing this essential tool for combatting climate change. We are already experiencing the ramifications of climate change and this is no time to reduce our efforts.

I think it is irresponsible to repeal the cap and trade without having an effective alternative in place. Funds generated from the cap and trade regime were being reinvested in programs to increase energy efficiency.

In addition to my previous comment, it is very troubling and bizarre that the government is trying to make civil claims against themselves illegal. Hopefully the courts will strike down this piece of anti-democratic nonsense.
I do not support this cancellation.
Ontario has a responsibility to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change.
Pollution and climate change are going to drive up the cost of healthcare which the province will end up paying more for in the long run.

I am very much against Bill 4.
When we signed on to the Paris Agreement, we committed to reducing our carbon emissions. Bill 4 represents a step backwards, compromising Ontario and Canada's credibility in term of our commitment to meet our international climate obligations.

Ontario, and the entire world, cannot afford to walk backward from initiatives which proactively address climate change. The repeal of this program jeopardizes a growing "green" economy which should be supported and encouraged rather than stifled.
