I would like to express my concern and opposition to the cancellation of the cap and trade with no clear path forward for Ontario's climate change policy future.

Please do not scrap this piece of legislation! If the current government does not like what the Liberals have done, a better way is to amend it. We NEED to take strong action on climate change! NOW! I can see every day of my life that this is the biggest issue facing our times.

What planet will Ontario legislators move to, when Earth becomes uninhabitable? After the hottest summer in living memory, we need to redouble our efforts to combat climate change, not abandon them. Cap & Trade isn't the best solution, but it's much better than nothing.
Hands off cap and trade! Stop your assault on the environment. This summer was another one of record-breaking heat and destructive storms. It will get worse. It will cost the government a lot of money - I say that because I know it's all you care about.

Cap and trade programs are powerful tools for punishing polluting corporations, and putting money back in the hands of taxpayers. I am disappointed to see that Ontario is considering cancelling this program.
Scientists at the international level are giving us two years to get Paris right or we will have to take much more aggressive measures and may possibly be past the tipping point on exponential climate change.

We need the Cap and Trade system to incentivise Green sector job creation in Ontario and to offset green house gas emissions. Please reconsider dropping this short-sighted, poorly conceived Cap and Trade Cancellation Act which had no consultation with citizens of Ontario.

Keep the cap and trade system or institute a carbon tax, but rebate the revenue back to Ontarians.
The rebate could be an offsetting reduction in the provincial portion of HST. This would stimulate the economy by benefitting everyone.
I implore the government to reconsider cancelling the Cap and Trade Act. It is our duty as citizens of this country and of this earth to protect the environment and to limit businesses large contribution to climate change.

Regarding the cancellation of the Cap and Trade program I disagree with this proposal. The program has been working for over a year now and I believe the public has fully absorbed the very small price increases to products that increase carbon pollution. I know I have.
