I support the plan to increase affordable housing but I am strongly opposed to your plan to reduce the requirement of parkland a developer must provide. You are not forward thinking enough with this plan. You are creating an environment for future children that cannot be reversed. Lire davantage

I strongly disagree with Doug Ford's proposal and the changes to this act. The changes will negatively impact the environment, wildlife, and ecosystem in Ontario. As someone who greatly cares about animals and the environment this proposed act makes me angry and sad. Lire davantage

I live in an area with lots of older, smaller homes on larger lots which are prime targets for being redeveloped into multi-dwelling units. But the city bylaw considers these new developments and would charge close to $50,000 for parkland dedication.

I agree with non-profit DC exemptions, but for-profit developer DC should remain. We should not be relying on private companies to fully provide a housing solution.

Bill 23 would seem to jeopardize the ability of municipalities to use development charges as intended – to gather funds for large infrastructure projects to accommodate and support growth. It would do this by requiring municipalities to spend or allocate 60 per cent of reserve funds each year. Lire davantage

All this proposal will do is pad the pockets of developers, allowing them to spend and plan less and providing municipalities with fewer tools to make meaningful improvements to quality of life in built-up areas. Lire davantage
