I oppose this proposal in the strongest terms. Increasing housing supply should not be at the expense of irreplaceable environmentally sensitive land. Address housing through zoning policy, transit policy and densification. Lire davantage

The green belt should absolutely at no cost be developed. We are some of the luckiest in the world to have such beauty at our doorsteps with the will of the people keeping it green, strong, and beautiful. Density is more important than sprawl. Lire davantage

There are no long term benefits to developing wetlands for commercial profit. You say it’s for residential housing but we should be looking at vertical housing. Making more duplexes instead of horizontal urban sprawl. Our province has amazing scenery and wildlife.LEAVE THEM ALONE. Lire davantage

The greenbelt needs to remain protected. Developing on the greenbelt will NOT help the housing crisis that the province is facing. Studies have already shown that we need more high density housing and not single family homes being built. Lire davantage

I believe, as Canadians, we should be striving to build housing in ways that preserve our natural greenspaces, and allow all Canadians easy access to wilderness and an escape from the city and development in general. Lire davantage

It is incredibly short-sighted and irresponsible to go ahead with a plan that will jeopardize protected greenland. It is crucial to address the housing crisis, but this can be done without more sprawl and by focusing on densification instead. Lire davantage

Why do we keep destroying our environment for short term monetary gain? Have we learned nothing? We are stuck on a dying planet with fleas for politicians. Doug Ford makes me sick. Do you not have enough? We continue to step on the weak to help the rich. Please leave the green belt alone.

The area marked as the current Green Belt, should be left as a natural area. The area should be left free of development so current and future Ontarians can enjoy the splendor of our Natural province. Lire davantage

We need to protect the green spaces. Ontario, and especially anything within an hour of GTA is too over populated with urban sprawl. This amendment should be immediately rejected.

I implore you do not use the Greenbelt for housing. It's a disastrous ecological and economic short-sighted mistake that will be hard to turn around. We cannot afford this mis-step. Lire davantage

I believe that keeping to Doug Ford’s promised to uphold the Greenbelt should be upheld. In addition most of the land is going to be a flood risk regardless. The land is far better kept to its current use of protection of animals.

Please do NOT develop the Oak Ridges Moraine. Although we may not see an immediate impact our children and their children and many more generations will see and feel the serious damage this will bring. Jack Richmond Hill

I am writing to express my opposition to Bill 23 and associated policy proposals that would weaken environmental protections and undermine public involvement in land use planning and decision-making. I am particularly concerned about the: Lire davantage
