Building homes for the anticipated growth of the province is completely needed but taking Greenbelt land and converting it into quickly developed buildings to support 3% of the overall Bill 23 1.5 million goal makes zero sense. Lire davantage

I am against this proposal. I haven’t heard any good reasons why land should be taken from the Greenbelt to be developed, but there are many good arguments about why we should NOT take land from the Greenbelt. I would like to hear more from the government about these points specifically: Lire davantage

As an Ontario resident, I am horrified by the Ontario Government’s intention to remove 7,400 acres of precious farmland and natural areas from Greenbelt protection. Lire davantage

DO NOT hand over the "protected" Greenbelt to developers. Be creative!! There are other solutions to develop new housing. This issue is not going away. To the many people I have spoken to not one, not one, not one, is in favour of giving up any of the existing Greenbelt.

Ontario and the GTA need to focus on sustainable growth without succumbing to the knee-jerk reaction to pave everything and build more low-density car-dependent single family homes and highways. We do not need it. We need sustainable growth. Look to the future.

Expanding construction in the Greenbelt will have a negative impact not just on the local environment but also the water quality across the GTA and Lake Ontario waterfront. It will also negatively impact GTA flood risk. Lire davantage

I'm very concerned by the proposed Greenbelt changes. It is challenging balancing the need for housing with the need for food security, but this balance is not struck effectively with these regulations. Lire davantage

Do not develop the Greenbelt - keep your promises! My property taxes shouldn't go up because you gave tips to developers to buy land that was and should be protected. Lire davantage
