I strongly oppose the proposed removal of lands from the Greenbelt. We should meet our housing goals by maximizing density in existing urban and suburban settlements, where city services already exist and can be expanded upon.

I understand the pressure to build new housing. It is important. However, the allowance of continued suburban sprawl is not the answer. We need to density, infill and encourage transit within current boundaries.

Please do not break your promise to not develop the Greenbelt. Its protection is vital for us and for future generations. This is proposed plan is a terrible idea.
I am extremely disappointed that this provincial government has chosen financial gain for developers over true opportunity to build affordable housing in locations that will not require constructing new infrastructure.

Please do not take anything away from the Greenbelt. As shown by your own commission, this will not help the issue of housing. Adding stuff to the Greenbelt which cannot be built on isn't actually expanding it.
