As a home owner in Dresden, I am fully against this proposal! With the instalment of a dump, even if it is of construction materials (for now), the increase in traffic alone is a major concern.

Please do not allow this landfill to expand, there isn't proper infrastructure to support the extra truck traffic and it's also will change the landscape of this agricultural area tremendously, and in a negative way. Hauling landfill materials hours from the source is also bad for the environment.
Regarding the proposed project by york1 It seems ridiculous to consider a request made to landfill up to 1000 tonne of waste at this site daily The existing licence was for a small percentage of York 1 requests

Our community is not welcoming this landfill, it is irresponsible to not conduct an environmental assessment. There are 83 species, many of which are endangered or protected, that live in the Sydenham River.

Completely against this proposal. An environmental assessment needs to be done at the VERY least. But nothing like this should be built this close to a town.
This is wrong on so many levels!!! I and everyone I know in Chatham-Kent is 10000000% against this proposal. This needs to be shut down, but at the very least have a complete environmental assessment which it no way will pass. Please help us! Thank you!
This site should not be allowed to be used in this manner. It is an outdated drop off for incenerator for ash and last used as a wood lot. It is 1km from our cemetery, schools, homes and our roads are absolutely not equipped for the heavy traffic this will be forcing upon our small rural town.

I am a registered nurse and I have very serious health and environmental concerns about this proposal. It is absolutely disgusting that York1 would even consider such a project that jeopardizes the health and wellness of an entire community.

This old dump and permit is 50 years old. We need to renew our drivers licence, health card etc. Why shouldn’t this old licence need to be renewed? And if it had to be it would not pass as it is way too close to our town and homes.
I strongly disagree with this proposal.
I would like to express our concern over the proposal of putting a mega dump within 200 meters of the homes in the north end of Dresden. The extra land purchased by York1 for future expansion comes all the way down to Croton Road which is 200 meters from our northern most subdivision.

This is NOT wanted from the community or surrounding communities. No Dump! Too much of a risk here, agricultural land for a dump? In a flood zone. And putting run off into mollys creek that goes straight to the river. Species at risk, less than a kilometre to town!!

A full comprehensive assessment needs to be done before any approvals should be given. Truth be told it should not be approved at all.
There are major concerns about many different aspects of this closed dormant landfill if it were to reopen and expand..
It is less than one klm to town.
