The current city council has a record of skirting zoning bylaws, not consulting with area residents, and abusing strong mayor powers. On the other side of the CN rail tracks the city recently opened up an outdoor shelter on contaminated land. Lire davantage

I am a resident of Hamilton. I beg that housing redevelopment is allowed to go ahead at the Jamesville site. It is extraordinary to me that this has been held up for so many years for what seem to be very frivolous reasons. Lire davantage

I believe this should NOT be considered, CNRail does have a point about noise - I live in a house close by and it does get quite loud, nevermind being in a townhome structure right by the rail. Lire davantage

At this point, instead of tearing down the entire neighbourhood, retain the structure and build new from within. Any new buildings are going to have to be extremely sound resistant with all the vibration and noise that comes from the shunting yard. The old structures have better foundation.

This request should be denied. If approved, I have no doubt thay there will be plenty of complaints from condo owners and renters about the noise, air pollution, and dust that is continually kicked up from the tracks and rail yard. Lire davantage

Please approve the MZO for Janesville. Hamilton needs urgent progress towards affordable housing and a vibrant neighbourhood that has been affected way too long by unwarranted opposition. CN Mitigation can be addressed so let’s get it done !

I am a resident of downtown Hamilton. I live near the site in question and my children attend Bennetto Elementary School, one block away. I strongly support the City of Hamilton's request for an MZO. Lire davantage

We desperately need dense, affordable, and attainable housing, especially near transit. The low density neighbourhood surrounding west harbour go station is poor land use as well as exclusionary zoning. Lire davantage

Let's get this made, but the 20 story tower should not be on Strachan and James...It should be situated further into or the opposite corner of the development. This will also reduce the possible liability issues the CN are claiming. Lire davantage

Please make this badly needed project happen! It's embarrassing to drive down a street, in Canada, that's lined with tents all the while there's a block of dilapidated and dangerous buildings sitting empty. I can't believe it even had to get to this point.
