Water treatment plants often have spills. That would result in untreated water running into the Goulais. I fish this river and do not want to see this treatment plant put on the Goulais river. I'm sure it would impact fish populations and fish migrtion.

Enough pollution and destroying our clean water. It will kill and destroy and damage the surrounding environment of over 2,000 square kilometers that this CLEAN river drains. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose the proposed Environmental Compliance Approval (ERO 025-1121) for Searchmont Ski Resort to discharge up to 180 m³/day of treated sewage effluent into the Goulais River. This pristine, high-quality cold-water river must not become a disposal site for wastewater, even if treated. Lire davantage

I live on the south branch of the Goulais River. I do not want any waste water polluting my home, treated or not! My grandchildren swim here. We fish from this river. Do not give Searchmont permission to pollute this river!!

I seen this done to Schreiber Ontario. Over 40 years ago they put in a treatment plant for waste water. The water came from a lake called Cooks lake. And it went in a creek called Scott’s creek that was loaded with brook trout and it enters into Lake Superior. Lire davantage

This is short sighed and not a good plan to protect our natural environment and resources. I strongly recommend that a full ecological and environmental study is produced prior to commencing any of this further.
