The proposed plans as laid out and supported by a MZO are far to dense and will create more problems for the town

To the Minister : I am dead set against the proposed MZO for Mid town Oakville. The proposed MZOs would: Override Oakville’s Zoning By-law Remove limits on height, density, setbacks, and lot coverage Eliminate requirements for affordable housing and community benefits Lire davantage

Yes - population density is a concern in many places in GTA, but creating reckless population density in Midtown Oakville would unecessarily put OVERWHELMING stress on the infrastructure!

Oakville already has a responsible, Council-approved plan for Midtown — OPA 70 — that supports growth while respecting infrastructure limits and livability. These MZOs are unnecessary and risk undermining that plan. Lire davantage

These MZOs would force extreme and reckless density on Midtown, more than double that of any comparable development in the GTA, without the infrastructure to support it; creating chaos and overwhelming transportation and services that are already overstressed, including local roads, transit, the GO Lire davantage

Leave Oakville alone. We do not need any of what is being proposed. Lire davantage

This Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) fails to comply with Premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031, the Province’s own housing deadline, and will take 25 years to complete. OPA70 is a better alternative and is ready to go. Lire davantage

I am saying NO to the MZO for Oakville. Completely inappropriate and undemocratic. Does respect the wishes of the community. Completely misguided proposals that seem to only line developers pockets and do not address the needs to the community. NO to the MZO! Lire davantage

These MZOs represent a profound override of local democracy despite Oakville’s full compliance with provincial policies and proven track record of growth and housing development. Lire davantage

Oakville is such a unique town but with more development like that proposed in midtown the town will lose more character. We've been experiencing rapid growth and already problems with drainage, congestion and more have presented itself. This is without mega condo towers. Lire davantage

The proposed density is too high and does nothing to address affordability. There are already traffic issues in that area and that many more units will just add to the gridlock we are experiencing. There are no schools proposed and green space will be at a minimum. Lire davantage

As a concerned Oakville resident, I am opposed to any MZO that would expedite the high-density TCO proposed by the government. Lire davantage

The high density will increase the traffic in the area dramatically which is already busy and provides very little parking spaces.
