It is astoundingly…

Commentaire

It is astoundingly preposterous to even consider selling off public, preserved provincial park lands. That this present government would even suggest this is a travesty against Ontarians, and against the tradition of land preservation that we hold dear. Our parks should never be for sale. They are for the public enjoyment of all Ontarians, without profit, and for the preservation and ecological safeguarding of our natural environmental heritage. Shame on any MPP who would vote otherwise.

Considering that this land is especially important for species at risk, most prominently the Piping Plover, I heartily condemn this suggested legislation, and also the Town of Wasaga's ideas that progress means paving and development. Real and lasting progress includes the preservation and safeguarding of that which is most at risk.

Don't be a bird's worst nightmare. Do the right thing, and abandon this legislation. Provincial Parks should not be sold off, in any way. If anything, they should only be added to. To do any less is a betrayal of all Ontarians.
