“They paved paradise and put up a parking lot!” That’s what I hear when I read this. Please do not transfer any portion of our beautiful Wasaga Beach Provincial Parks to the Town of Wasaga Beach as they DO NOT have the best interest of our environment and nature in mind. Case in point, Beach Area 1; the condos are going up and turning the beautiful beach to residential. If the Town gets ownership of the beach itself how long do you think it will take before the “Private Property “ signs go up and only residents will be able to use that beach. The same will happen to the other beaches that they are given control of.
Ontario has an amazing 14 kilometre stretch of beach that everyone should enjoy, including wildlife. The Province should advertise the heck out of it and get more tourism for all of Ontario not just for a rich few.
Stop paving our beaches and let us continue to marvel at the wonders of nature and just BREATHE!
Please protect it, don’t destroy it!!
