This proposal is absolutely egregious and an abuse of government power. How dare you propose cutting away portions of a provincial park, after creating your similarly destructive legislation that would remove all environmental regulations in order to speed up development. Development doesn't need to be sped up, it needs the support and backing of the public, which you fail to get time after time.
This sets a dangerous precedent for the future of all provincial parks and it is frankly unacceptable. Who wants this? Who is asking for this? More of Doug Ford's developer friends? You have lost the public's trust and this will be fought tooth and nail, which means more taxpayer money dealing with lawsuits and wasted time.
This will be protested, fought in court and calls will be made to your office, just like in the Greenbelt case. Stop trying to force idiotic legislation down the throats of Ontarians and listen to them instead. What happened to building houses fast??? How about fixing our public healthcare system you are set on dismantling?
