Wasaga Beach cannot be optimized as a tourist destination if the Provincial Government does not commit funding to protect, conserve, and steward Piping Plovers, their nests, and their habitats. These adorable birds are a critical part of the habitat around Wasaga Beach, and are part of what make this beach so special. I ask that you please engage experts like Birds Canada at development and implementation phases, and fund the protection of this rare species.
