I strongly disagree with this proposed legislation. Residents and out-of-towners alike are unhappy with this new proposed changes.
Wasaga beach has been a gathering sport for many generations for decades and partly because the beach is accessible because it's public.
There are environmentaly sensitive areas in the park that would be destroyed if this land is to be sold. Especially considering the endangered species act was stripped so there is no forum to protect species regardless of what the government says.
I strongly oppose the Ontario government passing this legislation and this will certainly not secure future votes for the current party from me. Do the right thing and keep Wasaga beach public and under provincial park jurisdiction
