I respectfully ask that the park at Wasaga Beach remain as it is, rather than being replaced with new development. My husband’s family has lived here for generations, and the park is one of the last places that still holds our shared memories—his as a child, ours as a couple, and the ones we hope to create with our son.
We would also like to encourage turning Nancy Island into a protected space under the Historical Parks Act, to preserve its heritage and keep these treasured areas as they are for future generations. Wasaga Beach’s charm lies in the balance between history, nature, and community, and we hope that balance can be protected.
