A few concerns regarding the proposed changes:

1) If the province intends to simplify jurisdictions (i.e., avoiding multiple CA jurisdictions within a single municipality), why is Credit Valley Conservation proposed to merge with CAs to its west? This will leave Peel region split between CVC and TRCA. If this is still a goal for the province, municipal boundaries should be looked at when proposing such changes.

2) If the jurisdiction of TRCA is to remain the same, there is no value in changing the name. The proposed name change to "Central Lake Ontario RCA" would cause confusion with the existing Central Lake Ontario CA which is to the east of TRCA and would become part of "Eastern Lake Ontario RCA". The province should prioritize clarity and eliminate unnecessary changes.
