I strongly oppose this proposal. It is obviously another Ford initiative to circumvent environmental assessments in order to line the pockets of his friends. There is little hope that one conservation authority can possibly monitor the entire Lake Superior & Lake Huron watershed district. This area is enormous , larger than the other S. Ontario districts combined! Also claiming that there will be no job losses is a joke. Staff from Sault Ste. Marie will hardly be able to commute to a central office in Sudbury . It’s clear that rubber stamping all permits quickly is the Ford plan and to hell with the environment.
