My major concern is that not only is our premier trying to eliminate bike lanes that are in place , but he wants to prevent additional ones being built all in the name of the almighty car. They have been many studies done concluding that bike lanes are safer and healthier than having none in place; Safer for bikers and safer for drivers. There are many major cities in the world where bikes are promoted and function very well as an alternative to polluting vehicles, bikes that have their own lane. Broaden your viewpoint Mr. Premier and recognize that this is a costly and foolish direction to take. We need more people on bikes not fewer. We need to protect riders in as many areas as possible and more bike lanes is the obvious way to do so.
