This will negatively impact the ability of each conservation authority to do the focused work unique to their ecoregion. Each of these authorities was established for a region defined by natural boundaries for a reason. Merging the authorities will dilute their local impact and reduce the quality of their services. I have personally benefited from the tailored knowledge of my conservation authority. They know their land and the issues the people that live within it are facing.
