The step to merge all the conservation authorities down to just 7 is a giant step back for conservation in Ontario. All this move does is help developers cut through red tape to develop the lands that are vital to prevent flooding and species at risk. Please do not go through with this move in a time where biodiversity loss and climate issues are becoming a more pressing issue than ever before.
