I support the work that the Conservation Authorities have been doing to protect life and property from natural hazards. I support all their education and outreach projects and believe they should be handled through a watershed management approach.

Conservation Authorities provide an essential service and their powers must be strengthened, not weakened. They must be allowed to make their decisions with complete autonomy and these decisions should NOT be sidestepped for ignored by any government ministry or body.

The Ford government is clearly attempting to remove all potential obstacles for his developer friends and big donors. This has become obvious to all and the negative consequences will be felt by the rest of us for years to come.

These actions by the Ford government will be remembered at election time.
