I believe that repealing this act will have a negative impact and reduce renewable energy production, discourage energy conservation and eliminate green jobs.

752 renewable energy projects have been/or proposed to be squashed. This will definitely reduce renewable energy and eliminate green energy jobs. This as well as cancelling cap and trade (bill 4) sends a wrong message and will have a negative impact that will discourage people to conserve less. In addition this will have a negative impact on Indigenous peoples who had plans in place for renewable energy projects.

Ontario and other public jurisdictions invested in clean energy and have helped lower the costs, now is not the time to stop supporting green energy, after that initial investment prices are now such that green energy is cost effective and ontario should invest to help green GHGs low. This in turn will help with health care costs, food security, and help keep climate change costs to a minimum.
