 The extent of the mapping well outside what is traditionally referred to as the GTA is horrific. I fully appreciate the goals of saving natural areas, but to extend the mapping so far north is unreal. Not all of us can work for the government.

   I am writing on behalf of our client, Hallman Construction (Hallman).  Hallman has asked that we review the draft Regional Natural Heritage System as it relates to their lands located in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo.

   I am writing on behalf of our client, Activa Holdings Inc. (Activa).  Activa has asked that we review the draft Regional Natural Heritage System as it relates to its lands located in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo.

   The map is a little difficult to interpret so I look forward to consultation sessions to assist in this regard.

  I agree generally with the principles but require more information in a session or sessions will required.

   We have the following concerns regarding the proposed natural heritage system:

   I endorse the findings as presented within the background materials for the NHS within the GGH. A well-defined, systems-based  land use policy is required for this fast growing region of the province.

   I am very concerned about the broad-brush approach that has been applied to the recent provincial mapping exercises in relation to the Growth Plan.  Our entire Township (and it looks like all of the County of Simcoe, and all of the area within the Growth Plan boundaries for that

   The Bruce Trail Conservancy (BTC) has reviewed the proposed expansion of the Natural Heritage System as part of the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe (GGH) and is fully supportive of the proposed changes.
