No changes to the Greenbelt. The last thing we need is more suburbs. The Greenbelt was protected for a reason. No development should occur there, ever. Farmland is irreplaceable and critical for food security in Ontario. No more suburban sprawl. Lire davantage

ERO 019-6216, 019-6217, 019-6218 We agree that there is an urgent need for more housing development BUT the new units must a) be affordable b) be focused on multi-residential units c) be part of a “smart growth policy” d) not encroach on protected areas e) not exacerbate urban sprawl Lire davantage

This is our green space, that is sacred to Ontario. please do not develop it with more housing. While housing is needed, this is not the ideal place for it. We need green space in a large variety. Lire davantage

This proposal is just plain careless. The ramifications of removing our greenbelt will destroy our lives. The Ford government does not understand how life works, they are completely ignorant. I will tell you what will happen if this passes, there will be a guarantee of a massive drought. Lire davantage

Please stop the proposal to urbanize the Duffins Rouge Agricultural Preserve. The Province is proposing to completely remove and plant houses on the Duffins Rouge Agricultural Preserve (DRAP). These lands were sold with public money with the agreement that they remain agricultural in perpetuity! Lire davantage

I strongly oppose developing into the greenbelt. It was protected and off limits for a reason. Wildlife is pushing into suburbia because it is running out of places to be, we need that green space to help preserve green air, biodiversity, and wildlife, not to mention unpolluted water ways. This is an absolutely shameful proposal from our greedy and corrupt government. I am writing to express my opposition to Bill 23 and associated policy proposals that would weaken environmental protections and undermine public involvement in land use planning and decision-making. Lire davantage

I am opposed to any sort of urban development in the Greenbelt, this land is crucial to the role of being a rainwater catchment which feeds our rivers, lakes, aquifers and streams. Without them, we have no drinking water, for anyone, not just humans but all living life. Lire davantage

The proposed development would be detrimental to the health of Southern Ontarios most significant ecosystems and wetlands. I would absolutely despise the conservative government if they passed this legislation.

I do not think these lands should be removed from their current status as protected lands. Instead of developing crucially needed green space we should instead explore options for housing density: multi family homes, small buildings etc. Lire davantage

There is ample land within our municipalities and outside of the Greenbelt that can be developed. We do not require more land, we require legislation to ensure more dense, land-effective and walk able housing is built. The missing-middle is a real problem in our housing stock in southern Ontario. I’m essentially not happy with Ford wanting to cut our GREENBELT. By going ahead with the plan, this is trouble for our plants, animals and our ecosystem. Instead I propose to take our existing empty buildings and convert them to affordable housing. Lire davantage

Please do not sacrifice our green space and communities well-being for a lazy “solution” that will cause more harm than good. The green belt must remain protected. This proposal is shortsighted at best and demonstrates a complete lack of regard for the environment. Lire davantage

How is this even a question? Not that Ford has been good at anything in his term (other than gutting Healthcare and education of course), but this is ridiculous. Stop trying to destroy our land and systems in order to line the pockets of your campaign donors. Leave the green belt alone.
