I am very concerned about the “minor projects”, “management” of “hyerabundant” wildlife, “management” of beaver dams, control of pathogens, and “mitigating human wildlife conflicts” mentioned in the ERO. This “management” usually involves trapping and shooting wildlife. Lire davantage

I am very concerned about the “minor project” exemptions regarding wildlife. “Management” of “hyperabundant” wildlife usually means shooting and/or lethal trapping of animals like cormorants, deer, raccoons, etc. Lire davantage

Please do not use culling for “management of rabid animals” as mentioned in this ERO. Ontario eliminated culling years ago. Here is a response from the MNRF. Lire davantage

Why is the killing of animals considered a “minor project” that is exempt from evaluation? My guess is it because the public will object. Stop killing animals and learn to coexist peacefully.

I am not in favour of of this change. The Ford government has shown that all they care about is destroying the greenbelt, wetlands and and conservation areas in order to line the pockets of the rich builders. There is enough unused space in the existing cities.

People in Ontario know what all these changes are for. Your government has shown their true colours. Destroy, destroy, destroy and build, build, build. We are not stupid. This is not more protection it is removing protections and we all know it. Ford and all his government should be ashamed.

Unlike the Planning Act, or the Environmental Assessment Act, the Public Lands Act or a number of other pieces of legislation, there is no section in the PPCRA that says the minister can issue policies (associated procedures implied) under the act. Lire davantage

I thinknwe should be expanding the protection of our parks, not reducing them. From what I can tell the proposal removes the requirement for an environmental assessment for projects like campgrounds and parking lots? Lire davantage

This change weakens environmental protections and will result in damage to the environment. Do not proceed with this legislation

This appears to be another example of eliminating detail and consideration of environmental and biodiversity conservation in order to pave way for human focused development and projects within parks. The framing of this is as suspect as reading the toronto sun or the national post. Lire davantage

I’m not sure I understand the reasoning behind why it’s fine to create an entirely new campground or manage native wildlife without an environmental assessment. Lire davantage

Development cannot come at the expense of our environment. This policy gives too much power to the minister to approve projects without requiring them to undergo a review. This cannot be allowed. I do not support this policy.

Based on the Greenbelt sell off to Doug Ford's developer cronies, we know what "reducing delays" means. It means doing what Doug Ford and his government want which will quite likely be to the detriment of the people of Ontario. I absolutely do not support this legislation.
