It is very inappropriate to use a landfill that is only 1 km away from a small town. There is 2 schools with children in the town of Dresden and their health is important. The idea that the original licenses on this property still being valid after 40 years is absurd.

Increasing the size of an inactive limited purpose landfill to the monstrous proportions and broad scope proposed by York1 is not only unethical, but also an insult to the community of Dresden and Chatham-Kent as a whole.

YORK1 plans to amend the proposals to include regenerative recycling facility. They are NOT fooling anyone. The amount of farmland they have purchased from locals tells the truth.

York 1 doesn’t seem to care about our community and our future generations. Please say no to their proposal as it affects, water wells, water ways, species at risk, air and soil pollution. Traffic for a 2500 populated town is proposed as if we were in the GTA.

This project is very close to neighboring town of Dresden. There is a creek that drains into Sydenham river and there will be species at risk with the approval of this project.
The proposed expansion of the YORK1 facility, which includes a substantial increase in waste processing capacity and storage volumes, raises several concerns that must be addressed before any further action is taken.

This was never really a dump before, York1 are using a loophole that would not be allowed under new dump rules. With all the land that York1 has purchased their property will be 150 metres from Dresden boundaries and Sydenham river
I feel there should be deeper investigation into this dump, primarily the fact that we are such a huge farming community; there is no way that this dump and the run off would not affect the quality and safety of the food we produce here in Chatham Kent.

The community of Dresden and its neighboring communities do not want the land fill - there is zero good for these communities and lots of bad- negative environmental effects on water wells, the Sydenham River, air quality, wildlife - increased truck traffic.

The people of Dresden are STRONGLY against this landfill! New legislation says a landfill needs to be 3.5km away from town and anything under 3km can cause adverse health issues. It's only 1km from town where hundreds of kids are bussed in daily for school!!

I live on oil heritage road, which could end up being used as one of the main roads because used to get to this proposed dump site. With how much traffic that would bring to this area, my child's safety now becomes a concern. There are SO many children that get onto the bus in this little stretch.

Again i state that the land at 29831 is not zoned as a LANDFILL it is zoned M2-365 at the Chatham/Kent office and was never zoned as a landfill back as far as Camden township before amalgamation . Chatham/Kent zoning code for landfill is LF not M2-365.

I think there should be no chance that a large landfill / dump of any kind near the town of Dresden. I live on/beside where my great great grandparents settled here. I drink the same water from the well they drilled. I have many friends that are also generational farmers with well water.

I am not in favor of this proposal because of the following reasons
1. the request to reopen a long dormant landfill only containing ash by exploiting a loop hole trying to get around doing a necessary environmental assessment for this location

Moving the existing flyash buried material to a proposed new landfill site within the existing area just makes for an accident waiting to happen. Especially given that the amendment would allow an 80 foot tall pile of other debris to accumulate until dealt with.

As a neighbour to Dresden, I want to express my concerns about this proposal. In addition to increasing local risk to the environment, it needs to be stated that there needs to be long term solutions to waste disposal.
